Padstow invasion on Mondays market.

After well above average rainfall for thelast few days, Monday morning saw a bright start to the week with little wind and clear skies.....
it's off with the old and on with the news as the Padstow boys from the netter Berlewen put their backs into overending nets onto a trailer......
in front of the market the Charisma is in the process of washing down after her big trip on the hake.....
after leaving Newlyn at 6pm the previous evening and hours spent searching, a lack of fish in the Bay saw the sardinier Resolute eventually make a big haul off the Lizard, after a two hour steam back to Newlyn to land, the last tub of Cornish Sardine are iced - all hands are looking forward to jumping aboard the new boat when she arrives - more news next month......
an awkward fish even when dead and making life difficult for the MMO, a big blue shark gets measured out at around 185cm in length.....
several good trips of net fish fills the western end of the market.....
line caught bass......
not line caught bass, spot the difference......
a one clawed lobster, known in the trade as a policeman......
big bass trip.....
a good shot of soles for the big beamer.....
has the buyers forming an orderly queue.
