The team want to hear directly from fishermen and people working in the catching sector on the priorities & issues to include in the survey and will be holding in-person workshops in Newlyn, Bridlington, Newhaven and Wells-next-the-Sea, as well as online sessions between March – May 2023.

The Countryside and Community Research Institute (CCRI) at the University of Gloucestershire are working with partners from Fishing into the Future to develop an annual nationwide social survey of commercial fisheries that aims to support fisheries management. The survey will collect data on health & wellbeing, cultural identity, community, traditions and values.
