Own a punt? - Fishing gear for sale


Whenever the sparks flew in Newlyn in those dark days of  decommissioning...



you could be sure that, more often than not, the man behind the mask...



was none other than gas-axeman of Pendeen, Dave Rhodda...



seen here many years earlier, this time wearing a diver's mask, just another one of his many hats, - sadly, ex-skipper Dave is now in the big wheelhouse in the sky and his wife, Ruth is having one final push to clear the barn of redundant fishing gear...


Mustad 3138D size 6/0 fishing hooks,



4 boxes (each includes 10 boxes of 25 hooks (1 box of 25 hooks missing)) - as new plus 1 box 1000, 9746T1 8 Homecom VMC hooks (not nec. full box)...


6 reels line (81lb, 70lb 92lb + other weights unknown)...


Misc. feathers, lures, plastic tubing...





2 x tubs + 1 bag rope (leaded?) - various sizes, mainly approx. 5mm...





2 x fish boxes of twine (net mending)...


2 anchors (largest approx. 75cm x 50cm (across widest part))...


Oilers various (1 bib & brace fairly good condition)...


2 life jackets (1 brand new) + roll of flags...


2 large lamps - Berkey type 2060 (don't know if working)...


1 basket green twine (short lengths)...





2 x strippers / rollers
