Newlyn fisherman's wedding over the weekend.

Newlyn fisherman, Quentin has always had, 'plans', the 20' fast boat...

for line caught pollack...

then hunting 1000 miles off...

in a 60' pole boat...

for line caught tuna...

but his biggest catch, a girl called Maria, was much closer to home and worked here...

so come the day...

in a packed Ludgvan church...

Maria and Quentin were wed...

these could only be fishermen's hands...

Quentin's fishing life began in earnest as a YTS boy aboard the Scarlet Thread under the tutelage of skipper Jim Nixon and mate, Pete Bromley, the rest, as they say, is history...

as with any fisherman's wedding there are always those special touches...

when a fisherman gets his woman...

come hell or high water...

what better place to celebrate than down on Sennen beach...

and up at the Beach restaurant...

tables appropriately named...

a stunning sunset provided...

and a star-studded cast of Newlyn fishermen including that hardy party-goer Cod on his chariot!
