It's a dark start for the 6am auction in Newlyn...
with the bulk of the fish following Wednesday's passing gale of wind that kept all but a couple of the Newlyn fleet port-bound coming from two fly-shooters working south of Lye Regis in Lyme Bay...
there were some local mackerel from a St Ives handliner...
and a 150kg bluefin from the Newlyn based Huers...
but the rest of the auction was made up of quality fish...
like monk...
grey mullet...
black bream
red mullet...
conger...
and stacks of cuttlefish, squid all whisked away past...
a few tubs of octopus from the pot boat Isabelle...
and a handful bass caught hard way by handline.
