Monday's market

Monday's monk haul from the New Harmony...

also included evidence that it is not just fishermen who are predators at sea - this is a single bite form a seal inflicted on a brill...

the New Harmony landed alongside five day trawlers that made landings...

and the Newquay netter Trevose whose haul included a box of big lobsters...

amongst her haul of big white fish mainly Pollack...

while, despite the evidence to the contrary according to some of the papers at the weekend there still appear to be plenty of bass on the grounds (the article was shy of solid facts!)...

the day boat fish on the market included at least v30 boxes of bass...

and a good run of hake...

from the only Newlyn net boat to land, the |Britannia IV

handle those bass with care now...

after a night's work for the sardine fleet...

stack their catches alongside the fish market waiting for the lorry transport...

can't be long before the Mayflower gets her maiden voyage under her belt...

the all-seeing hand...

finds the auction in full swing...

name that fish?
