Just a handful of boxes on the market this morning as heavy weather interrupts fishing for most of the fleet...

and at this time of year the cephalapods are in evidence everywhere the boats go...

this mouth is meant for fishing, not grazing like the grey mullet's...
even some bigger boats were taking a break overnight from those sou'westerly winds...
while the good ship Bess is about to get a winter overhaul on the quay...
might be an uncomfortable day for the smaller crabbers...
but that won't stop the Rowse fleet from picking up their pots today.
