Not such a #FishyFriday this morning on Newlyn market owing to some inclement weather in the south western approaches!

It's not all doom and gloom on the market...

just not much fish landed after the fleet was blown in by the recent autumnal gales...

the iridescent tub gurnard brightened up the market floor...

while the cuttles see things in black and white...

and get swiftly taken off the market...

one tarnished soul...

unlike punt fisherman Barry who will grace the cover of the coffee table book Salt of the Earth about to be published in aid of the Mission

not enough to hammer fishermen with quotas, days at sea restrictions and intimate surveillance of their every movement fishermen have it hard these days, no fun at all it seems...

the port under heavy skies this morning...

with a reconstruction job to do for one of the Plymouth Admirals...

bad moon rising...

as one of the day boats sails...

out through the gaps...

lights on the scalloper...

the coastal path had a good washing this morning...

with a few heavy showers...

giving Wherry Town Plaza an almost Dali like appearance...

it's all at the Co-op now.
