#FishyFriday is here again!
Why not celebrate #FishyFriday by dining out tonight...
and take advantage of the top quality inshore fish that was up for auction this morning like these brilliant brill...
perfect plaice...
or a pair of ray wings...
lovely lively lobster...
tempting turbot...
pristine pollack...
maybe one of these will end up at Lost & Found
or pick between paws and jaws...
hake are caught well offshore, or by more powerful trawlers with high lift nets - this inshore trip has but a single hake...
the mighty mackerel are still thin on the ground...
red sails at sunrise...
the insulated boxes full of slush ice keep inshore fish in tip-top condition for the market...
looks like a few more hours work for Roger and the boys...
all the spare berths on the pontoons are filled with good sized yachts at this time of year - suggesting that in future Newlyn could look to make a substantial increase in leisure provision...
the spread of the Celts...
dredges a-plenty aboard the inshore scallopers...
the number of small inshore trawlers is on the increase - maybe it's time to look at an evening market for the very best fish landed in the port...
a beautiful example of a boat's tender...
for the Rose of Tyree...
the harbour offices are getting a make over...
the long arm of the cement machine reaches down to the new sea defences...
with plenty of concrete still to be poured!
