On the banks west of the Scillies

The Ajax has plenty of company to the east of her. She is working south of the Labadie Bank. Sou'west of her is the Larche she once had a notorious reputation amongst the netting fleet. We always found the skipper a reasonable sort of chap, a little gruff and grumpy but happy enough to steer clear of our gear once we had given him clear readings for the nets - thereby giving credence to the old adage, "it's good to talk"!
