If time allows and the inclination takes then pack a case and head for the land of single malts, haggis, hand dived scallops, langoustine and the biggest fish market in the UK - its Fishing Expo at the SECC Glasgow.
The show, spread over three days gives everyone a chance to mingle and mix with all sectors of the industry in the wrmth and comfort of Scotland's biggest exhibition venue.
Highlight of the social events was to be the dinner dance in aid of the RNMDSF, better known as 'The Mission' which has, sadly been cancelled.
However, all hands will look forward to see which lucky member of the fishing fraternity has been nominated, 'Fisherman of the Year', organised by Inverurie based global crew information services provider, Crew2crew.com, in association with the Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen.
