TV appearance opportunity in the name of science

It's all about the moon!

Fran Jarvis, producer and camera operator on the new Channel 5 science series presented by Dara O'Briain and produced by the BBC called Secrets of the Moon will be in Newlyn early next month.

She is looking to film with an inshore fisherman - on their boat, on 3rd or 4th April a, 'day in the life' - capturing a fisherman at work, readying the boat, gear and heading out to sea.

Whilst out on the water she would film the process of fishing and chatting about how the tides influence what is caught and how its caught. She is looking for line fishing and potting if possible and as much as they can film on the day the better.

Fingers and toes crossed the weather is kind! Sorry to say that Dara wouldn't be coming out on the boat - it would just be myself with a camera and a sound operator with me.

If interested, please drop Fran an email at fran.m.jarvis.ext@bbc.co.uk
Thank you!
