First fine March #FishyFriday in Newlyn.

Fish from two beam trawlers filled the market this morning, a few boxes of decent ling...


some fine brill...


a dozen or more weavers...


kept those fish tallies flying from Mr Colenso's fingers......


on to the hake...


and haddock...


its a great time of year to enjoy roe on toast...


red mullet...


or some record-breaking Dovers...


along with the same from the Trevesssa IV...


and the Cornishman...


long with lemons...


and monk tails...


the handliners made it our for some good runs of mackerel...


and the odd herring...


a still, chill air filled the harbour...


as young Mr Nudd landed the first of a brace of Rowse crabbers...


fighting with a swell still running young Mr Roberts sets to pressure-washing below the waterline of the Bonnie Grace on the Cannners Slip.
