As the skies darkened, shades of Hitchcock in Newlyn.

Inshore fish made up the bulk of the landings this morning with squid still rare enough in any quantity...

not so with these big fat ray wings...

charger-sized turbot...

the odd John Dory...

a big blue...

and some fat monk tails might be just enough to keep fine dining establishments going this week...

while the Spirited Lady III...

and the Imogen both landed some good size plaice...

along with a handful of Dovers...

pollack...

and mackerel also featured on the landing sheets for the inshore boats and handliners...

as the netting fleet prepare for sea......

the visiting scallop boats need to see less ground sea of they are to make the most of their time fishing here...

there's some new derrick ends...

to replace the original swivel blocks...

that may well have now cooled down...

yet more new post destined for deployment...

as Jeremy does a bit of tugging...

there seems to be some interest from the harbour gull population...

shades of Hitchcock's...

The Birds.
