Monday morning's fish market in Nelwyn.

Gool Peran Lowen!

Happy St Piran's Day!

Celebrating St Piran's day with gwynn ha du images for this post...

which should see the first sailing day for the newly converted netter, Amanda of Ladram...

and the Ivan Ellen in port is always a good start to the week...

as the morning's market was cleared of fish...

with just a handful of superb fish caught over the weekend by a couple of the trawlers that braved the huge tide and heavy sea still running after storm Emma had passed by...

a good year class of whiting are showing strongly on the grounds for the first time in many eyars...

and there were even a few witches...

to tempt the buyers with something a little different...

along with a handful of sardines...

some big pollack from the Padstow netter, Charisma...

I'm sure even St Piran would approve of introducing a little colour to show off this pair of red mullet at their best...

young Roger weighed into the ray sands again...

while these ling still have their protective plastic sheets over them...

it wasn't long before the sale concluded...

with just a handful of fish in some boxes like these big tub gurnards...

and a chance for someone to have another go at the Ministry of Silly Walks sketch again...

all quiet and calm this morning...

as high-water arrives...

and the rain, not snow beats down...

final bags of nets ready to go aboard the Amanda...

and the Harvest Reaper.
