First Cornish sardine landings of a weekend in 2018

Most of the Newlyn sardine fleet were in and landing early this morning with hauls of between nine and 21 tons.  The fish are held aboard the boat in tanks full of slush ice and once landed are transferred to insulated tubs again full of slush ice before being processed.
