#FishyFriday and it's almost a frosty one, well, not really this is Cornwall.

Inshore trawlers and beamers this morning on the market in Newlyn...

including regular fish like megrim soles...

yellow spotted plaice...

a sprinkling of squid...

and cuttles...

the odd line caught pollack...

and plenty of good mackerel...

rays are endowed with a pair of claspers only used during reproduction, hidden beneath the folds of skin are a row of razor sharp hooks...

this old lady has been in the wars...

best bass on the market this morning...

and a handful of haddock of which there are ever -increasing amounts being caught...

plenty of fish to choose from for the weekend...

an an all-time favourite, mini monk tails...

a local shop window reflects the diversity of the port...

while across the bay, Michael's Mount looms over the misty sea off Marazion.
