Newlyn's Monday morning market in the news again.

Tall ship Kaskelot tucked up in the Bay after steaming down from Liverpool...

on a quiet, calm morning in Newlyn...

with a big market this morning...

some boats, like the inshore netter New Harmony...

land top quality fish like brill...

leaving the beam trawlers to land monk tails a plenty...

and some good haddock...

with a news team from Al Jazeera covering the industry for the Referendum debate...

plenty of top quality fish for them to see like these pollack...

and a handful of JDs from young Roger...

being sold by auctioneer Ian Oliver...

at this time of year ray are plentiful on the ground...

just a handful for the smaller inshore trawler, Millenia...

being given the measuring services from Cefas...

always good to see big cod on the market...

will the rest of Europe be looking at the white cliffs of Dover Sole in future...

if there is no plaice for us in the EU?...

Tom's been looking for those elusive JDS again...

big, fat, juicy wings make superb dishes...

and all I ask is a tall ship, and a star to steer her by...

work in progress...

keeping those vivier tanks full of sea water for the shellfish boys.
