today is mainly top quality day-boat fish like these whiting...



lemon, uh plaice...



and lemon from the  from the Imogen III...



and a late addition to the board a few boxes from the Cornishman...

at this time of year conger eels are full of roe or 'chittlins' as they are known locally...

while there are still signs of mackerel on the market most mornings...

hung up to dry, cut lengths of polypropylene rope are woven in the meshes of the chafer on the cod ends of beam trawls to protect the underside of the cod end from chaffing out on the seabed...
