On Saturday morning.

Plenty of mackerel but with 90% of them being graded out at small the rewards for a 5am start are pretty meagre...

maybe inshore trawlers like the Shiralee will benefit from the feed on the ground...

as yet another mackerel punt heads for the market to land...

next away, the Trevessa IV takes ice...

while with netter Karen of Ladram is one of the last in port...

such is the strain on a beam trawler derrick...

when they have this weight of gear suspended from them...

one of the first boats in the port to use spray paint above the waterline...

still looking for a  berth...

the Sea Spray takes ice in her insulated tubs on deck...

as the Nowells' Louisa N sails...

on another beam trawl trip...

along the prom, the Queen's Hotel is taking advantage of the finest local lobster available...

the Scillys' supply ship Gry Maritha is about to enter Penzance wet dock...

and head for her berth...

a few old hand will recognise this old salt.
