Fish on a stormy Newlyn market

Despite the weather there's fish from three beamers this morning...

including the Billy Rowney...

with a good run of cuttles...

not a single box of fish from the netters - it's a spring tide now so they are all tied up...

looks good in black...

make a date in the Newlyn Fisherman's Mission tomorrow for your free lifejacket and help save a life...

fresh enough on the market...

with a speedy sale...

the tide is high enough to force the sea up through the blow holes in the quay...

and flood Newlyn at high water...

ex-harbour master Andrew Munson is doing his bit down the quay - you can just make out another sea overtopping the qauy behind him...

and washing down the quay...

the tide almost tops the quays...

and fills the road in front of the Mission and shops.
