Sizzling Sunday

One man and his dog accompany the Ajax on the way in @ThroughtheGaps...

the Morlaix registered netter, Azkarra lands his fish back in France by lorry, it's cheaper and less time consuming than steaming all the way back to Morlaix ot Douarnenez to land and then back to the fishing grounds again during long neap tides like this one...

another ex-French netter, the new Joy of Ladram moves into the ice berth...

the Azkarra has an interesting deck arrangement for handling the fish, she is a dual purpose boat being originally built to fish for crab...

now her and a punt make their way out @ThroughtheGaps...

huge shoals of grey mullet fill the harbour at the moment, elusive little fish they are to...

high pressure dominates proceedings...

what were they thinking and who even began to think that these are suitable replacement railings for a thousand year old fishing port like Mousehole???? #badtaste #crapdesign where was English Heritage when you needed them????...

a little more in keeping, Janner's Chippy, though the girls serving went to the same charm school as the checkout girl in the Only Fools and Horses sketch, #suethemdidyou?...

Scillonian III Penzance bound over the top of St Clement's Isle off Mousehole...

BBQs on the beach galore, great place to live with kids...

a small section of the Rosebud's hull makes a lasting memorial on the roadside leading out of Newlyn...

with a small collection of new houses named after the boat...

along with more traditional examples.
