A largely fish=free market in Newlyn this Fishy Friday

In colour...

or black and white, the Bay was heavy with cloud this morning...

the market almost deserted apart from the scalloper up ahead...

and a few punts landing their mornings mackerel after a 4am start...

king of the jugglers, Mr Cripps purveyor of fine mackerel, some of which are destined for a beach BBQ later...

others off to faraway places...

the gulls were fish starved...

latest addition to the Newlyn fleet, the ex-Brixham beamer, Sasha Emiel now the Karen~N...

the tug, Red Finess...

seen from the stern...

bow on to PZ10...

last night, some had 6 bins, some had 16 bins, the Asthore had 16 tonnes...

Dennis heads for home...

not everyone made enough of a haul this morning to warrant landing them to the market, not enough to cover the cost of the sweat!
