The future is here in Newlyn - Shannon on trial.

WD40 doesn't seem to be helping cap'n Dennis' seized bolts.......
another tale of the one that got away from Mr Morley......
brand spanking new, the most modern lifeboat in the world spent Saturday night in Newlyn after travelling down from HQ at Weymouth at 20 odd knots all the way........
this skipper's no stranger to the St Ives shore taking the new boat went for a spin round Land's End........
inboard the boat oozes the latest in technology and rescue design........
from a LCD display screen for each crew member........
including this full console for the chief........
time to raise the flags before the off.......
let go the ends........
then the twin Scania straight six main engines powered jets make the boat incredibly easy to manouvre - like driving a car.......
Dudley's latest ocean-going pontoon has now been launched........
and into the fuel berth........
landing time on the Silver Dawn........
the deck control station for the cox........
a sleek looking machine.......
with a huge amount of technology packed into what is still a relatively small boat designed to be launched from a trailer.......
she made light work of the 300 mile round trip........

someone's parking didn't go down too well......
with the residents by the bridge!
