Monday 12 March 2012

a.m. Monday is a misty one.

Not much to see beyond the prom this morning......
plenty of good flats around at the moment with the trawl fleet, like these plaice from the AA........
with a good smatterin of 'addocks with the small inshore trawlers which should keep the Mission in fish and chips for the week......
move 'em out to the store.......
now that's what you call a jumbo mackerel.......
Windcat 16 one of a big fleet of offshore wind farm service vessels, regulars in Newlyn  as they make their fuel stops between transit trips.....
sporting the rescue net which makes boarding in a man overboard situation that much easier......

all quiet on the netter front.....
as the Ajax and the others in the fleet wait for the big tide to pass.......
good to see the Elisabeth Veronique back home again after her extended holiday 'en France'.......
evidence of the ring net fleet in action overnight........
make a diary date and meet the man himself, Monty Hall will be coming to Cornwall and talk at Truro College about the Fisherman's Apprentice series - monies raised by the event heading for the Mission......
time for action for those lucky enough to live near by.......
always a good thing to have in the fridge........
the Louisa N makes her way towards the slip.
