Biggest tide of the year.......and a quiet night

Astern of the Roseland, and a rare sight these days, the North Quay almost devoid of active boats....
with not much activity in the harbour, time to take advantage of Newlyn's superb evening light....
an 8 cylinder Kelvin engine under its shroud.....
tubs of water aboard the Children's Friend lean her into the quay so that she will dry out safely....
some friendly football rivalry in the engineer's workshop....
never seen until recent years, and a sign of changing conditions, the biggest tide of the year reaches 20 feet.....
another use for scrap tyres, the end of some 'rope' or combination bridles.....
Badcocks Gallery have now un-packed their current show.....
and what's on show certainly catches the eye of passers by!
