Dorset Seafood Festival 2013 in Weymouth

Weymouth Harbour is the perfect backdrop to the annual Dorset Seafood Festival, which takes place on July 13th and 14th 2013. With over 90 stalls, mouth-watering seafood menus, celebrity chefs, Pommery champagne, local ales and a fabulous atmosphere, the festival raises money for The Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen.

Duncan Lewis from Passion4Fish will be demonstrating all things fishy with Sienna's Russel Brown at 3pm. There are fish auctions at the end of both days.

One of the country’s largest food festivals - Dorset Seafood Festival is in its sixth year and has generated a huge following from the public and the catering profession with many chefs from across the county turning their hand to creating tasty seafood treats. Follow us on Twitter and Facebook but above all come along to the food festival in July and enjoy the fun! Don't Miss: Explore the festival with our FREE iPhone app.

Alan Weston - aka The Fishman - you have to love this guy!

A short film to introduce the new Fishmonger in Godalming, Alan Weston, aka the Fishman. Born and raised in Antigua, Alan has recently moved his business to Godalming, to help the community enjoy the taste and health benefits of fresh fish, sourced mostly from the day boats of Cornwall.

while Roger on the Imogen II is still trying to hit on the elusive JDs in any numbers...

nice shot of some local villians, er I mean fish buyers...

and the there's plenty for the guys to choose from this morning...

with the settled weather the punts can finally get out of the harbour to make up for the worst start to a years since 1979...

all set for a night's work, most of the local sardine fleet back in berth after landing in the early hours...

the inshore trawler,  Defiant is back...

two of the Dreckly boys head for home...

and unlike the Bay, its Cloudy in the harbour...

where there's a whelk 'ome in the hillsides...

the crowded deck of an inshore scalloper...

a smile and a wave from one of the port's grandees, Dennis Pascoe...

the view from Australia...

and for some, there's always a smile for the camera.

Eat well for less #eatmorefish

After spending a long day on a fishing boat, Gregg Wallace sees the cod he caught with his own two hands go for a tidy sum at Brixham Fish Market.
