With NW gusts up to 89mph recorded at Lands End there's a wave in the 'graveyard' at the back of Newlyn's North quay...
but it's not for the feint hearted, at lowish water - that's rocks dead ahead!
and a fight for every good wave and head away from the quay wall asap.....
and keep your eyes peeled
and paddle like hell!the harbour's christmas tree is just holding up in the strong winds...
later in the day, Through the Gaps visited Cape Cornwall and Botallack....

Small Dutch invasion fleet in the Bay

Last of the few netters that braved the weeks appalling weather, Padstow netter , Berlewen puts her trip ashore to the market fridge...

Ready to go

With the entire fleet tied up (apart from the sheltering Breton boats that have now sailed) there's not much doing down the quay - a couple of hundred new pots wait on the quay to go aboard one of the port's crabbers.

the heavy footrope deserves special attention...as both sets of gear are heaved to the top of the derricks for inspection, pretty clean they look after their trip...
