It's Monday evening, high winds, an hour to high water.

The Trevessa IV leaves for her berth.The Intuition moves away from the market after putting her day's shellfish ashore.Brixham beamer, Angel Emiel has just finished landing to a waiting lorry - those fish won't be sitting on Newlyn's auction floor on Tuesday morning.
Along the promenade, yet another Sou'Easterly gale heaves spray across the road and passing traffic.

A mix of pots and nets

First time visitor

Jersey registered crabber, Doreen Rosa C pulls in alongside the Cornishman on Sinday afternoon.Over on the old stone quay, a shag hangs his wings out to dry on the steps.

After a wild Friday night, a calm quiet Saturday morning

Early Friday evening and gill-netter Silver Dawn prepares for sea at the start of another neap tide.
Lionel walks the length of the deserted market - no fish this weekend.
Peter retrieves some flotsam from the harbour.
Apart from the harbour guys above, the only life down the quay are crew on their way down the quay to the remaining gill-netters. Meanwhile, over in Penzance wet dock a local beamer lands to a waiting lorry.There's a few baskets of shellfish ready to be picked up by Harvey's.

Over in Penzance dock on a quiet weekend...

Gill netter, 'Carol H' enters Penzance wet dock, high water Sunday afternoon.
She takes a berth alongside the 'Sowena'.There's a thirty foot steel yacht for sale.
The 'Scillonian' is in the dry dock for her winter maintenance.
