Seafish see fish and eat it week!



First up for Seafish's @seafoodweek - top potter and lifeboatman for over twenty years Ian Jays from the North coast of Cornwall sings the praises of his favourite fish - in this case it's those with hard shells - brown crab and lobster!

The Mission is celebrating with the Pirates during the Rugby World Cup!





This weekend sees an entertaining day out at the Cornish Pirates. On Sunday the 11th October 2015, the Pirates are playing London Scottish at home, kick off 3pm. The Mission are teaming up with the Pirates on that day for a fun fundraiser and will also be there for a chat. Bars and food outlets open at 1pm, the Cadgwith Singers will perform throughout the afternoon, so why not come early and have some lunch !!

Poor weather keeps the small boats from making landings today.


On a market starved of trawl fish...



the handful of boxes from...



a part trip by Trevassa IV soon went under the auctioneers hammer...



so it was left to net fish...


 like these hake from the gillnetters Ajax




and Britannia V to keep the buyers bidding...





before the market was cleared away...



with a handful of inshore boats able to get out in the poor weather for a few boxes of mackerel.
