Procreating pontoons!

A tier of punts overlook the new pontoons - in a few days the mackerel handliners will be able to 'walk to work' instead on struggling down the quay ladders and across the decks of all the other punts!

W Stevenson's largest beamer, the Daisy Christianne takes a berth on the end of the new quay to overhaul both sets of gear.

Pontoons arrive!

Keeping an eye on the summer trade, HM Customs cutter, 'Searcher' berths alongside the Stone Quay.


Once in place, the pontoon sections are locked together.

Staff from Solent Marine Ltd manouvre the assembled pontoon sectons across the harbour.
Macsalvors are back to drop the flotation boxes for the marina pontoons on to the Stone Quay.

It's 10pm and the last of the day's handline caught mackerel are landed to the fish market.
