Island Voices - Fishing communities on the outer Herbides

Two short English documentarys for language learners.  The first covers the annual Grimsay Boat Day in the Outer Hebrides while the second looks at the work of a Hebridean smokehouse on the Isle of North Uist. If the fishermen of Cornwall sometimes feel they are well away from the centre of things, spare a thought for those on Uist - two ferries needed just to get to the Scottish mainland!

The videos are part of a much larger community project bringing communities and individuals togther using the latest technology and innovations like social networking.
