Hi There, This Andrew Wood, the owner and skipper of GBR 500, the mini transat boat pictured.
Not sure where that info came from, but it's not really correct. The boat is there after I completed the singlehanded Azores and back race around 2600 miles solo.
I did have to pull out of the double handed Fastnet race when I broke my mast some 2 months earlier. Good news is I'm fully qualified for the Transat this year!
Thanks for the link.
PS it's Andrew Wood, not Dave Woods. cheers.
Hi Andrew
Many thanks for the corrections - apologies for getting even the name wrong too!
Just wanted to note you endeavours on the the web - all the best for the next voyage hwrever it takes you!
cheers
Larry
I've just read the latest news on your website Andrew - say Hi! to Douarnenez for me - a great place to be, Mardis Gras '82 and Douarnenez '88 spring to mind!
Thanks very much for the good wishes both of you! The boat is in the shed at the moment and will be launched in a week or two before sailing to France for the first race.
Cheers, Andrew
