Thursday night into #FishyFriday

The boys on the Algrie are busy putting together a new chain mat...

as the Filadelfia heads for the iceworks...

with a man ready for the bow rope...

under the watchful eye of Mick the skipper...

three hands busy themselves hanging the footrope and fishing line...

watched by a couple of other hands happy to get in on the scene...

the tideline tells you that we are heading towards neap tides as each successive high water is lower than the last...

good to see the Spaniard, Sanamedio doing is bit to keep the seabed clean - that's a lot of cutting out for a week at sea!...

blackback and fledgling blackback in his first year plumage...

#FishyFriday sees just two beam trawlers, the visiting FoC (Flag of Convenience) Spaniard, the huge scalloper and there is, of course, an invisible netter...

some nice fish from the New Harmony...

big Dovers form the Algrie...

and some monster monk tails...

many fishermen refer to cod as 'green' - you can see why!...

red red gurnards...

not megrim but witches...

but this is a happy looking megrim...

and plenty of hake from the invisible netter, Govenek of Ladram...

brisk bidding on the Spaniard's haddock, just a few of the 99 boxes he landed this time...

good to see young Ian well enough to be back on the market again chatting to Edwin from FalFish

as they check out the haddock for quality...

down go the sales tallies for SeaFayre Cuisine...

on the haddock...

while the plaice went elsewhere...

head-to-tail hake...

the cod has a mighty appetite and gills to match...

as do these guys...

plenty of boats in, but they are between trips having just landed...

they make colourful scene for the holidaymakers visiting England's busiest harbour...

one of the biggest scallopers in the UK is back...

as the sun breaks the land mass behind the Mount...

insidean ex-super beam trawler from Holland and the very much older style from back in the 1960s still serviceable for scalloping...

bow out...

at break of day in Mounts Bay.
