September the 1st, day one of an Indian Summer?
The Irene was taking people on a trip sailing around the day in idyllic conditions...
a photographers dream chance to shoot a classic yacht in the amazing Cornish light...
thanks to the Pioneer, herself an historic Cornish ex-fishing boat under skipper Jim Richards...
sailing with the classic ketch is the local lugger, Ripple...
son James makes up the crew of the Pioneer...
as the two old timers head for the Mount...
on their port sides...
to make a stunning backdrop...
as they head out to sea...
with he Pioneer...
now well over 100 years old...
back in port the scalloper, Vanquish which suffered a fire the other day is on the Stone Quay...
later in the evening a trip to the Mount...
and the view from Marazion...
looks as though it will be a stunning sunset...
perfect camping weather in what may be the makings of an Indian Summer...
the sky now turns all kinds of colours...
as the sun sinks below the horizon...
way out in the west beyond Land's End.
