Monday's market in Newlyn.

The full gamut of fishing methods landed to Monday morning's market, a netter, inshore trawler and beam trawlers all put their fish over the weekend...

scallops...

and lemons...

and, most unusually  for a beam trawler, the kind of John Dory trip that would have young Roger Nowell's eyes green with envy...

as the William Samson tallied up over a dozen boxes of that decidedly delicious fish...

the one whole monk in the trip was a bit of a mystery...

enough to put a smile on Trelawney's main man's face...

while the Stevo's team were deep in concentration doing things in the book...

just some of the cracking hake from Sid on the netter, Karen of Ladram...

bursting the freshness and almost alive, redder then red red mullet...

along with equally red, red gurnard...

all no doubt destined for some of the finer dining establishments in Poldark country...

good to see Richard putting ashore another trip of brown crab on the flagship of the Rowse fleet, the Emma Louise...

those storm clouds are gathering...

over the Jersey registered tug, Duke of Normandy after she spends a night in the port...

colour-coded headline floats allow the boys on the twin-rigger Crystal Sea...

to check all is well when they haul the trawls...

the netter Stelissa, looking as good as new after her refit...

transport for the silver surfer...

just one of the big fleet of HGV that gets the fish out to the markets form Newlyn.
