The convoy was en route at a speed of 3 knots 64 km from the coast around 6 p.m. After establishing the towing connection, the team of SMIT Salvage has left the Modern Express by helicopter and was transferred onto the anti-submarine frigate Primauguet. The tug Centaurus began the towing operation at 11:45 a.m. after managing to turn the ship out to the open sea. The priority now was to keep the ship from the shore.
