It is busy enough on Monday morning's market.

Despite a week of hard and harsh weather there was plenty of fish on Newlyn market this morning...

boxes of bass to the fore...

giving some buyers the need for serious contemplation...

amidst all the tales on monk...

red muller...

red gurnards...

huge cod...

big bass...

golden cod...

spot the plaice...

luscious lemons...

but it is scallops that get the data collected this morning...

and several tons of squid...

all get the pencil pose form auctioneers Ian...

and Ryan...

as the Admiral Gordon makes use of the big tide to go alongside the fish market to repair her starboard beam trawl...

to repair her starboard beam trawl...

"hake worship"...

bass just love bad weather...

all in the black for the St Georges...

as a group of students get to grips with a plethora of photo opportunities that the market offers...

like one of the sardine boats landing in the morning after a night chasing fish all round the Bay...

topping up with iced tubs...

as the Imogen II takes a drying out berth at the head of the market so young Roger Nowell can replace the anodes on the hull.
