Why not celebrate #FishyFriday by dining out tonight...


and take advantage of the top quality inshore fish that was up for auction this morning like these brilliant brill...


perfect plaice...



or a pair of ray wings...

maybe one of these will end up at Lost & Found


or pick between paws and jaws...


hake are caught well offshore, or by more powerful trawlers with high lift nets - this inshore trip has but a single hake...


the mighty mackerel are still thin on the ground...

the insulated boxes full of slush ice keep inshore fish in tip-top condition for the market...


looks like a few more hours work for Roger and the boys...


all the spare berths on the pontoons are filled with good sized yachts at this time of year - suggesting that in future Newlyn could look to  make a substantial increase in leisure provision...

dredges a-plenty aboard the inshore scallopers...


the number of small inshore trawlers is on the increase - maybe it's time to look at an evening market for the very best fish landed in the port...
