Statistics tell a story of one sort.
Apparently today's UK fishing fleet ain't what it used to be - especially as compared to the sdailing vessels of the Victorian era according to a study titled "118 years of industrial fishing on UK bottom trawl fisheries" published in the Times Online today - the paper requires careful analysis - details of the source and authors are available here.
