Two of a number of building projects currently nearing completion on the site of the old Pilchard Works and the stores next door.....
so too further up in the hill in old town...
and two more almost finished....
the JTS has now lost her gearbox....
while the main remains to be removed....
Squirrel signs are busy doing what they do best but not so much call for these days in the world of vinyl adhesive signs, signwriting....
this is what has recently attracted the attention of twitchers in the harbour, a young Icelandic gull.....
and an adult in flight!See how the experts aboard the Jannie use a springer to turn her against the quay without losing any paint!
Lovely birds those Iceland Gulls. May i express the thanks of all us Cornwall Birders for allowing access to the harbour to view the birds. Paul.

Have never seen this method used at Newlyn and wondered why not. Always was used at Penzance by well known 'Cornish Wrecker' for arrival and departure, very neat and minimum of hands required.
